Liquefied petroleum gas is a hydrocarbon mixture which i.a. obtained from the refinery process. In the narrower sense, LPG is the two gases propane and butane. Both gases are already liquid at a relatively low pressure of less than 9 bar at room temperature - therefore they are also called liquefied gases. Due to the high purity of the hydrocarbons, the low emissions and the low sulfur content, LPG is an environmentally friendly fuel.
