Eni proudly confirms the collaboration with the Paton / SC Project motor team, winner of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy 2017. This year, the team debuts in the endurance race for motorbikes with participation in the prestigious 24-hour Le Mans.
The news was presented on March 27, 2019 at the Monza Eni Circuit with a press conference where the plans and ambitions of the team and the technical support of Eni and Dell'Orto were discussed.
"We started the Paton project with great enthusiasm," said Maurizo Maugeri, Vice President Eni Lubricants. “At the TT, the engine was already supplied with Eni lubricants and fuels. Now we have an agreement with the team for the use of our products and in addition we offer technical and commercial support together with Dell’Orto; a manufacturer of carburetors for engines and the exclusive distributor of the Eni i-Ride product line in Italy. "
“The purpose of this partnership is to increase the brand awareness of the Eni i-Ride product line. This line was previously an Agip brand, but has been re-launched under the Eni brand. The lubricant was developed and manufactured at the Eni Research & Development Center in San Donato Italy, and contains the Eni Triple Tech technology and special additives developed by Eni. ”
The team presents itself at Le Mans on the Bugatti Circuit with a Honda CBR 1000 RR, prepared by the Paton technicians and entrusted to motorcyclists Matteo Baiocco, Nico Terol and Simone Saltarelli.
