Eni R&M gets the award "Best Asset Integrity Technology"

13 September 2018, 00:00

Eni accepts “Best Asset Integrity Technology” Award at the Hydrocarbon Processing Awards for its Eni OTE GT 15 lubricant.
This innovative lubricant was developed for the turbomachinery sector.
The Hydrocarbon Processing Awards is an annual event issued by the international Hydrocarbon Processing journal. This year, more than 80 nominations were submitted from 18 countries around the world.
The awards ceremony seeks to recognize and honor the latest technological advances and cover 10 industrial categories.
Nearly 150 of the Oil&Gas industry’s brightest minds gathered in Houston to find out, and celebrate, the winners of the 2018 HP Awards.

In this year’s “Best Asset Integrity Technology” category, Eni won for its Eni OTE GT 15 lubricant.

Eni OTE GT 15 is a new energy efficient oil for turbomachineries, characterized by a very low viscosity (ISO VG 15).
Eni OTE GT 15, developed thanks to the partnership with BHGE (Baker Hughes General Electric), is the first turbine oil energy saving able to break through the standard technology limits fixed to ISO VG 32.
A synthetic base blend combined with an innovative proprietary new additive system, developed  by Eni Research, imparts superior properties to Eni OTE GT 15.
By switching from an ISO VG 32 to Eni OTE GT 15 on a 30 MW natural gas turbine, customers reported that it:
  • reduces CO2 emissions reduction of 240 ton/year
  • saves 120,000 SMC/year of natural gas
  • reduces mechanical viscous losses from 5% to 15%
Eni OTE GT 15 has been formally approved by BHGE against the new specification IT00000014.
