In the industrial fluids sector, Eni produces and markets, through its new company Enilive, the following chemicals & technical products for various industrial and manufacturer processes: propylene polymer grade, propylene chemical grade, petrochemical virgin naphtha, n-butane, liquid sulfur.
These special products are derived from the processing of petroleum or crude oil in refineries, and together with a range of several classes of fuels, complete the Enilive offer.
Enilive has undertaken a decarbonization path that aims to reduce the emissions generated along the entire life cycle of energy products and one of the cornerstones of this policy has been the introduction on the market of HVOlutionc diesel. The transformation of the traditional refineries of Venice and Gela into biorefineries, converting them to the processing exclusively of biomass, such as, for example, agricultural residues and waste from the processing of vegetable oils, used cooking oil, and animal fats, to obtain HVO diesel and HVO naphtha, was the base of this strategy. Enilive thus provides advanced biofuels, which represent a key to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector. HVO diesel can be used in all other uses where traditional diesel oil was used when an alternative from a renewable source is sought.
